A weighty challenge!

We have been investigating Weight. Here are some photos of us using a balance to weigh different objects.  We found it a bit of a challenge but we didn't give up!

Investigating Christmas!

We have been investigating the list of criteria Santa sent us for his Christmas decorations.  Here we are busy at work sorting decorations.  Feel free to pop into our classroom to see what we have learnt!

Guess what!!!

Today Mrs Peck got a package from Santa asking her to deliver all the Junior classes a special letter!

The letter made us a special offer.  If we make some decorations, Santa will deliver us a tree to hang them on!

We are so excited!

Milk Magic

This is an experiment we did at school today...

1.  We got a bowl of milk.

2. We put a drop of blue, red and yellow food colouring in the milk.

3. We put a drop off dish washing liquid in the middle of the bowl.

4.  We watched what happened.  It was pretty cool!

Today we had a Black Out Day at school.  We had a great time making craft inspired by the All Blacks.  Mrs Lunn painted our faces too.

Discovery ~ Houses

Today in Discovery we made houses.  They boys worked together to build a big house out of cardboard boxes.  Here are some of the photos we took at Discovery today.

Our Superstar of the Day

This is Tilly.  She worked so hard today and wrote an amazing story.  She has wanted to get her work in the window and today was her lucky day!  Well done Tilly!

Today in Letterland, we were learning about the letter H. Quin and James made a wonderful house out of blocks.

Rescuing Rapunzel

Over the last few weeks, as part of our Inquiry Unit based on fairy tales, we have been trying to rescue Rapunzel.  She has been trapped in a tower in our classroom!

We brainstormed lots of ways to rescue her.  We then made a plan of our idea and used our plan to make a model.  Along the way we self assessed our progress.

Market Day

Today was Market Day. The senior children all had stalls and things to sell. Mr Bron's class sold burgers. They were delicious. Lots of us got funky pencils. Mrs Lunn bought some lolly cake.  Mrs Wiggins  got some yummy toffee lollies.  Market Day was pretty cool," said Keira.

Ben's Story

Today Ben was our superstar writer of the day.  Quin said "Ben is awesome!". We all agree.  Way to go Ben!

Fathers' Day

We have been making tie cards and chocolate fudge for our fathers for Fathers' Day!  We hope our Dads have a great day on Sunday! We love you.
